Fracture is a 25-year old artist from luxembourg, living, studying, and working alternately in Strasbourg, London and Luxembourg. He produced his first electronic music output in 2003 under the name of "gosplan". The gosplan sound was harsh, fuzzy, acid-drenched and minimal. After releasing a small amount of EP's and LP's he changed his name into "fracture" making reference to a track/video clip of the british indie band Seefeel, some of the pioneers of the shoegaze / electronica genre who particularly influenced him. Fracture's actual sound could be considerated as an updated shoegazer sound for the digital or laptop age. Airy synths, guitar samples and the burrying of pop melodies under layers of effects are common ground for fracture and for instance artists like fennesz, the austrian laptop genious, or m83 who could be the most audible influences. Recently Fracture is adding noise rock influences and indie-rock rhytmics to his soundscapes, thus creating a unique and more straight-forward style.
Collaborations with other musicians like Raftside (indie pop rock songwriter), Airstrip 1 (Abstract hiphop artist with whom he opened a show by Digitalism at the RockHal in decembre 07, under the moniker "Pink Squirrel Project"), the Belardi brothers Chris and Pol (TheCARPS', Chief Mart's) , the extremely experimental side projects "The Tobacco Company" or "How do you get your inspiration?", the recent creation and management of a web 2.0-based label called SCHNURSTRAX Records, as well as experimentations with unusual instruments or everyday noises are showing his constant need to experiment and redefine himself.

Being released in a 2-version edition Fracture's Bipolarism album is coproduced by SCHNURSTRAX and LEEP records, both out in July 2007. It features artwork of two skilled graphic-designers. For the SCHNURSTRAX release it's the in-house SCHOCK who had the task to illustrate Fracture's latest effort.
